NATIONAL RALLY

Rally du Jubilé
20-22 March 2025

The Waikato club warmly invites you to the Citroën Car Club of NZ annual National Rally 2025. The event will be held in the Tauranga area between the evening of Thursday 20 March and Saturday 22 March.
This year we celebrate the CCCNZ jubilé, 50 years since the national club was established through the coordination between the then Waikato and Auckland branches. We look at the journey taken so far, remember those who came before us, and embrace the future.

GENERAL PROGRAMME

Registration will take place on Thursday 20 March at Shorland Citroën, 619 Cameron Rd, Tauranga, from 5 pm onwards (www.shorlandcitroen.co.nz). Our local dealer generously opens its doors to us that evening with some light refreshments, so that we can all catch up and get the event started.
Friday will kick off with the Concours d’élégance at Coronation Park in Mt Maunganui. Setup will start after 8 am, with judging getting underway after 9.30. As this is a central location in the Mount, attendees are encouraged to have morning tea and/or lunch at the local cafes nearby.
The “Spotting Run” will leave from the park, on a staggered basis, from 12.30. It is expected to finish mid to late afternoon at Te Puna Quarry with afternoon tea supplied.
Friday’s evening meal will take place at Club Mount Maunganui, 45 Kawaka St, Mt Maunganui. Informal socialising will start at 5 pm, and sitting down for dinner is estimated for 6 pm.
The Funkana event is planned for Saturday 22 at McLaren Falls Park, located just outside Tauranga, off SH29. There will be a mixture of competitive and “fun” stations, with morning tea and lunch provided. Participants can stay at the park for the whole duration of the event or take the afternoon off for sight-seeing. Sight-seeing suggestions will be provided.
For those not wishing to drive their Citroën on that day, the Club Mt Maunganui will be available all day for meals and socialising. The AGM will be held online later in the year, but for those who would like to make suggestions, present ideas, offer feedback, etc., members of the national executive committee will be available that day before dinner for an informal catchup.
The closing and prize-giving dinner on Saturday is at the same venue and the same time as Friday.
Due to many of the events taking place in public venues, attendees are encouraged to bring their own foldable chairs and also adequate protection against all sorts of weather (umbrella, hat, sunscreen, ponchos, waterproof shoes).

REGISTRATION & ENQUIRIES

As usual, registration will take place via the CCC website, where price and payment instructions will be given. For those not familiar with using the website, please contact our branch secretary at: chris.ennor1@gmail.com. Financial details are being finalised, but the organising committee does not expect a significant deviation from last year’s costs.

REFUND POLICY

Cancellations up until 28 February 2025 will be eligible for a full refund, otherwise, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of the organising committee.

COOK STRAIT FERRIES

Tony Hirst from Cook Strait Crossings (www.cookstraitcrossings.co.nz) offers a good service to car club members, with flexible and competitive fares.
