Meeting Point – the small car park beside The Stables Pub, 1 Whitford Wharf

Road in the small country village of Whitford, where we will enjoy perhaps

coffee & croissants before starting off.

After that, we’ll head along Whitford-Maraetai Rd towards Maraetai then the

Pohutukawa Coast Rd to the beautiful white shelled beach of Magazine Bay,

where you will see an iconic wharf that appears in many TV commercials and

movies. The bay got its name from the magazines of ammunition stored ther

during World War 2. There is a small carpark here and an ablution block. A

perfect backdrop for a photo shoot of some classic wheels.

Carry on along the tree fringed Pohutukawa Coast Highway past Duders

Beach towards Clevedon Village. At the Clevedon Village take the Clevedon-

Kawakawa Road and arrive at Hallertau Brewery, 26 Clevedon-Kawakawa

With a large car park out front this is a perfect place to end our country drive,

for lunch. They do delicious jalapeno peppers and wood fired pizzas.
