RHODO RUN, SUNDAY 31st October 2021
Taranaki West Coast Citroën Car Club invite all Citroën enthusiasts and like minded motoring people to join us on our annual pilgrimage exploring garden delights and mysterious sights blended with a range of wonderful motoring roads around the South Taranaki region. The entire days outing will encompass approx 70kms.
9.30 – 10.15am Marracbo Café 17 Union St, Hawera ‘Coffee Meet & Greet’ perhaps a snack before hitting the road.
10.25 – 10.50am Little Ardlui 25 Wilson St, Hawera A town house cottage garden with model Ho railway display (Entry $2)
11.00 – 11.45am Sullivan Garden 283 Matangara Road, Hawera Panoramic views of our Mountain add an extravagance to this garden, rich in colour with sweeping lawns and neatly clipped hedges defining vistas of beauty. (Entry $5)
11.55- 12.20 Clydefirth 307 South Rd, Hawera Native bush blended with flowering roses fill the front garden. The established orchard blends peacefully with chickens, ducks and other animals (Entry $2)
12.30- 1.20pm Lunch at ’The Ohawe Hall’ Ohawe Terrace, Ohawe Beach

1.30 – 1.50pm Caryl Murray 50 Kawei Rd, Ohawe Beach Mixed media display incorporating a range of materials that are used in the creation of Christmas wreaths, decorative wall & garden art, paintings of sea & landscapes, (Entry $2)
2.00 – 2.20pm Myron Bent & Kerry Walker 425 South Rd, Hawera A handsome farm villa and gardens in which two artists display their artwork (Entry $2)
2.30 – 3.00pm Jabulani 490 Normanby Rd, Okaiawa A developing 5 year old garden with meandering paths, sunken gardens, fernery and vegetable garden eclipsed by views of our Mountain. Tea & coffee available by donation to Breast Cancer. (Entry $2)
3.15 – 3.40pm Camellia Cottage 577 Manaia Rd, Hawera Nurtured beneath our magnificent Mountain is a gathering of treasures. Fruit trees Jostle with flowers and vegetables. Herbs nestle amidst familiar cottage favourites (Entry $2)
3.55 – 4.20pm Gabot’s Garden 275 Glover Rd, Hawera A large town garden crammed with an array of recycled materials which serves to display that paradise need not cost a fortune (Entry $2)
5.00pm – until they kick us out ‘South Taranaki Club’ 43 Caledonia St, Hawera
An early evening meal to wind up the day and extend au revoir to our friends. Entry to the Club is strictly controlled. Please do not be offended by the legal requirements, all guests must sign in prior to admittance.

LUNCH – Picnic style – bring your own. You will need to either make your own at home or buy in Hawera. There are no food outlets at the lunch venue Hot water, coffee & tea will be available ($1 donation to Hall Committee)
