Activities:
10 am Meeting point and morning tea at “The Garden Shed Café” 2 Armstrong Ave Waitara. Turn left off SH3 at Princess St intersection then first left.

11.15 am Visit Ashley and Larraine Smith’s collection of Model T  Fords. 217 Brown Rd, Waitara. Included is a Model T sports car and Ambulance. Ashley is a talented engineer who has carried out the restoration and bodywork builds himself.

12.45 pm Lunch at “487 Estate Café” (used to be Mike’s Mild Brewery Café) 487 SH3 Urenui.

2.15 pm Visit to John and Chris McLean’s Art Gallery and Gardens. John’s work has been sought after in NZ and overseas. Visit to Howard Tuffery’s Stone Sculpture Gallery and
gardens. Howard is also a well-known artist and one of his works is the large stainless steel sculpture at Puke Ariki landing in New Plymouth.

Both properties are within 100m of each other and overlook the Mimi river mouth and Tasman Sea. Access is down a long entrance drive, which starts on the left off Pukearuhe Rd just past Mimi school.
